CSBP Fertilisers has taken home the top gong at the 2022 Fertiliser Industry Environmental Awards in Darwin.
The business was awarded the coveted Platypus Award, presented to companies whose fertiliser turnover was more than $100m in 2021, for its participation in the uPtake partnership project throughout South West WA.
uPtake is a four-year project led by the WA Department of Water and Environmental Regulation (DWER) and the WA Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development (DPIRD), together with CSBP Fertilisers.
It is designed to improve nutrient efficiency on grazing farms in the South West by improving farmer industry knowledge and confidence, and the uptake of scientifically supported fertiliser recommendations.
Mark Scatena said CSBP’s involvement in uPtake had been highly valued by both DWER and DPIRD and other key stakeholders.
“The project leveraged CSBP’s trials and research capability to support the design and implementation of plot trials, and our agronomic capability supported and informed project data synthesis and extension activities,” Mark said.
“Recognition in the form of this award demonstrates we are industry leaders and at the forefront of agronomy research evolving to meet the needs of our customers and their conditions. It also demonstrates our values and enablers of collaboration, partnership and industry stewardship.”
“Congratulations to the team and everyone involved with the project.”
